GOOD MONDAY MORNING…I AM DOING THIS A BIT
EARLY THIS WEEK…THERE ARE THINGS THAT OFTEN TAKE ME AWAY FROM THE OFFICE IN THE
MORNING SO I HAVE TO DO EMAIL THE EVENING BEFORE.
WE STILL HAVE SEVERAL FOLK OUT TRAVELING AND
INVOLVED IN OTHER ACTIVITIES WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THEM BACK WITH US
SOON.
WITH THE SERMON LAST SUNDAY ON MATTHEW WE
ARE OVER HALF WAY THROUGH THE SERIES. PLEASE

In 1898,
William Porter was sent to prison for embezzling money. One of his prison
guards, Oren Henry, encouraged him while he was in prison. When Porter got out
of prison, he asked the prison guard for the favor of using his name in his
writing career. He promised to take good care of it. Porter began writing and
publishing short stories using the name of the prison guard who had befriended
him as his pen name. William Porter became known to the world as "O.
Henry". -- When you become a Christian, you take upon yourself the name of
